Fishing tips that will not leave you without a catch
Fishing tips

Since the beginning of time, people have come up with many  ways to fish  - but none of these methods guarantee success. Actually, this is why they love fishing: every time, coming to the reservoir, both a beginner and an experienced fisherman have to solve a new, unique task.

The success of fishing directly depends on your actions. So if you follow certain rules, then it is almost guaranteed that you will not leave the reservoir empty-handed. To many, these rules will seem simple, but - do they work?

So, let's figure out  how to catch a lot of fish,   and what needs to be done so that luck is favorable to you?

Tip 1. Prepare carefully for fishing

Any  advice to fishermen  from their experienced colleagues begins with stories about the preparation.   And rightly so: the time you spend preparing at home will save you time on the pond. And if you come to a river or lake for only a few hours, then it is thanks to the preparation that you will be able to devote every minute to your favorite hobby.

So what is the right preparation?

Choosing a reservoir. If possible, then you need to go to the rivers ,  about the zer or reservoirs, on which someone is already catching. This gives a certain guarantee that there is at least some kind of fish. On the other hand,  you should not go to places chosen by dozens and hundreds of other anglers: as a rule, the fishing "press" leads to the fact that the bite in such places is greatly deteriorated.

Fishing tips

We choose who we will catch. Each fish needs its own approach, so decide in advance who you see in the role of your future trophies. Here the information from the previous paragraph will come in handy: for example, in one pond a crucian bites well, and a perch feeds on a neighboring section of the river.

We collect information. Now it is much easier to do this: on local forums and groups on social networks, you can either read reports about already past fishing trips, or ask for advice from the "natives". Of course, the story about "crazy" nibble should be divided by at least 2 - but then you can at least roughly understand where you can go and where you shouldn't.

Tip 2. Pick up your tackle

If you have a rough idea of where and whom you will catch, you will be able to orient yourself in the preparation of the tackle. What should be considered here?

Fishing tips
  • The float tackle is universal. Having at your disposal a pair of rods, a set of lines, hooks and sinkers, you can quickly assemble a rig that will allow you to successfully catch both peaceful fish, such as roach and crucian carp, and medium-sized predators - perch, small pike perch, pike.
  • Donka is already more serious. If the fish in the area you have chosen rarely come to the shore, it is easier to catch it on the bottom tackle, casting it to a depth. In this case, it is worth getting a feeder or bottom rod with a reliable and capacious reel, and also take care of the bait.
  • If your target is primarily a predator, then the choice is obvious - spinning. In recent years, the predator has become more capricious, therefore, for a guaranteed catch, a thin tackle will be required, capable of working with very light - from, 15 g - baits.
Fishing tips

There are two more nuances worth paying attention to here:

  • The thinner the rig is, the more bites will be. On the other hand, it is more difficult to haul out a pecked fish on a thin line. But still, even professionals strive to make the tackle as delicate and sensitive as possible.
  • Different  methods of fishing  involve the use of different lures and baits. For fishing on a float or donk, worms, maggots, bloodworms, and dough / bread are universal options. With spinning it is more difficult: the minimum set can include spinning lures Mepps No. 2-4, several silicone twisters and vibrating tails of different sizes, as well as 2-3 wobblers with guaranteed catching power (Yo-Zuri L-Minnow, Jaxon Karas or ZipBaits Rigge) ...

By the way, if you go on a hike or just drive a car often, a universal set of tackle (compact spinning rod or telescopic fishing rod) should always be kept close at hand. A box of rigs and baits will not take much time, but you will be fully prepared at any time.

Tip 3. Choose a promising location

If the preparation is successful, then the answer to the question of  how to catch fish in the reservoir is simplified. The main component of success is finding a promising place:

Fishing tips
  • Knowing what kind of fish we plan to fish, we decide on the point of fishing. If you need a peaceful fish, then a quiet, deep enough creek or a pool, at the bottom of which there is a clay outlet, is best suited. The predator can be looked for either on the current, or on coastal pools, or near thickets of underwater vegetation.
  • Using a fishing rod or an echo sounder (it will increase the accuracy of measurements and save time), we examine the bottom of the promising point. If there are holes or hills at the bottom, overgrown areas, driftwood or boulders - the chance for regular bites increases!
Fishing tips

Also promising places include:

  • Dams and plots near them.
  • Rides (at the entrance and at the exit you can catch predators who love clean water).
  • Whirlpools under the steep bank.
  • Bays and dams (they often contain large crucian carp, tench and carp).

As a rule, in such places you can find the remains of old fishing grounds. And if someone was fishing there, you can catch it too!

Tip 4. Experiment!

Now let's talk about  how to fish  - so as to increase the likelihood of successful fishing!

Fishing tips
  • For a start, it's worth making a few test casts. If you fish peaceful fish, it is fashionable to use several donoks or float rods with different baits: by the first bites you will understand what exactly the fish prefers here and now.
  • If you are fishing on a spinning rod, then the best strategy would be to actively search for bait or harness. The perch does not take a spinner - after five casts we change it to a silicone twister, the pike does not want to grab the wobblers on a uniform wiring along the surface - we change the bait and begin to process the bottom with a "step".
  • It is worth fishing the entire area: sometimes the fish only takes the bait that you literally put under its nose. So, you should not leave without attention neither open areas of the bottom, nor driftwood and grass spots discovered with the help of an echo sounder, nor the edge of reed thickets.

Such experiments, especially at the beginning of fishing, may not bring a trophy. But they will give us the main thing - information about the predilections of fish in the reservoir.

Tip 5. Have patience  and listen to your intuition

Well, and the most important advice that is guaranteed to bring good luck to both beginners and experienced fishermen Patience is the key to success, and luck will surely smile to those who know how to wait:

Fishing tips
  • If you fish peaceful fish - try to feed several places and catch them periodically. Sooner or later, the fish will come to the bait spot, and then you will have a chance to leave the pond with a full cage.
  • Patience will not hurt a spinning player either: sometimes you have to try the entire arsenal of lures in a promising backwater or pool in order to find the combination of bait and wiring that will attract a flock of perches or a large pike.

And most importantly, if you are sure that there is a fish in the place you have chosen, and experience or intuition tells you what to do to catch it, listen to your inner voice. As practice shows. It is with these insights that the stories about the most successful fishing begin.

Yes, there are many ways to fish, and advice to fishermen is endless. But that's why we love fishing - no advice can 100% replace experience, knowledge and love for this wonderful hobby!
